In many cases, people do not experience symptoms and may not be aware they are infected.
Sexual health screening includes a comprehensive questionnaire including health and lifestyle questions, blood testing and swabs as appropriate. Test results can take between 5 and 10 days and you are requested to telephone the practice to check if your results have been received.
The Doctor will review the results and you may be asked to attend the practice to discuss the results and any required follow up.
