Breast Health

It is important that every woman is breast aware – this means getting to know your own breasts so that you know what is normal for you and can, therefore, recognise any changes that may occur. The Irish Cancer Society provides information here on their website about self-checking your breasts.

If you experience any changes in your breasts which are of concern to you, you can make an appointment to see the doctor.

BreastCheck is a state-funded screening service which provides free routine mammogram screening for eligible women aged 50 to 69. You can see more details about BreastCheck and check if you are on the register at https://www.breastcheck.ie/
