Our Practice

Sirona Medical was formerly named St Anthony’s Medical Clinic. The practice, first opened by Dr. Paul McVey in 1976, has operated at 185 New Cabra Road since the year 2000, when it was fully refurbished as a professional medical clinic. The practice is now owned by Principal GP Dr. Alex McVey.

Our Reception staff are Kelsey Power, Siobhán McMahon and Deirdre Fitzmaurice and Sinéad Ní Mháille is the Practice Manager.

The building at 185 was once a small nursing home, before that a Turf Accountants, and originally a private house built in the 1930’s. It has been fully refurbished to provide a bright, modern and welcoming medical practice.

Our Ethos - Better Healthcare Together

At Sirona Medical, we see ourselves as a partner in your healthcare. We believe that health is the most valuable asset that people have and we encourage our patients to take a proactive approach to their continued health and wellbeing.

We operate our practice to the highest standards of patient care and strive to provide a safe, efficient and professional service to all our patients.

Our clinical staff are highly qualified and experienced GP’s and nurses, with significant vocational training and a commitment to updating their knowledge and skills through continuing medical education. We also contribute to clinical training of new doctors, through affiliations with Royal College of Surgeons education programmes.
