If you are aged between 65 and 69 years, you can register online for your COVID-19 vaccination from Thursday 15th April onwards. The link for registration is below and opens at 10am on Thursday 15th April and the HSE has asked that people register according to the schedule in the photo, based on their age.

HSE Covid-19 Vaccine Registration

Please share or help family members with the registration where needed.

  • The HSE has requested that those age 69 register Thursday 15th April, those aged 68 on Friday 16th April and so on.
  • We strongly encourage all patients in this age group to register or if you have a relative in this age group who may need assistance, that you might help them with their registration.
  • Patients in this age group will be vaccinated in HSE vaccination centres, not in GP practices.
  • Please don’t pass up the opportunity to get one of these vaccines ‘just in case’ your GP will have a different one to offer you as unfortunately this will not be the case.

You can see full details of all the HSE information related to Covid-19 vaccination here: HSE Covid-19 Vaccine Information

As you may be aware, we are still continuing clinics for vaccination of the Over 70s and these will be ongoing for several more weeks.

Please note also that GPs will have no role in vaccinating citizens aged 60-69. All vaccinations for these age groups will be provided in large/mass vaccination centres, and not in GP practices. People in these age groups will be invited by the HSE to register online or by telephone (HSE Live: 1850 24 1850) to receive the Covid-19 vaccination.

GPs do not have any alternative pathway for vaccination outside those set out by the HSE and government in the national rollout plan, and the HSE is not supplying GPs with vaccines for these age groups. If you are offered a particular type of vaccine for an appointment at a vaccination centre, you must consider the information provided by the HSE and by the vaccinator and decide if you wish to receive the vaccine.
